Many marketers believe it is best to drive visitors to a squeeze page/review page where they not only pre-sell the products, but also capture your email address to add to their list.

A review page or squeeze to be frank has several benefits.

Many buyers will only be convinced to buy only if they visit a review page. They need to read what the marketer has to say about the product. If the passion about the product shines through, this can enhance a purchase.

A second benefit is that it enables the marketer capture the email address of the visitor and becomes part of the marketer's list. They say the money is in the list. You can forever keep promoting products to this list and keep reaping profits for years to come.

However not all see the benefits of having a review page, squeeze page or website. They believe that a sale can still easily be made with only an affiliate link.

Those that think this way believe it's best to send them to the sales page for them to make an immediate purchase instead of wasting their time.

The reason for this is that some visitors are already ready to buy and having to click on your link only to be sent to a review page which commands a further click to reach to the sales page can be a huge turn off.

Also, in some categories such as cancer, the buyers are so desperate that they are prepared to buy immediately and further pre-selling can be discouraging. Take them to the sales page right away and make that sale.

Also , some categories are specialised i.e. haemorrhoids where creating a list is basically useless as you may have no further products to sell to them. You may only offer them an auto-responder course to compel them to buy or alternative market a back-end product to them. So what's the point of having a list in these categories if you can't market to them for years?

The best strategy to use must depend on the product you are marketing.

If it is a product where further convincing is unnecessary, then link them to your affiliate or sales page immediately. In a situation where further persuasion is required in increasing conversion, then a review site will do.

In addition, if your primary goal is to build a list, then a squeeze page is swell. In a situation where you are simply an affiliate involved in marketing a specialised product like cancer, simply linking them to your affiliate page can do.

Whatever strategy you decide to use in article marketing, endeavour it's the one that achieves the highest conversions.
