Let me start by making a very ironic statement. You can easily make the $4,000 a month but you must be ready to work hard and smart.

First step is to find a hot niche with a hungry market such as weight loss, diabetes, stop smoking etc.

The next step is to design a review site for the product you aim to promote. If you do not know how to design a review site properly, I advise you outsource it. It is best outsourced. Take my word for it. It is cheap, usually no more than $45. Alternatively, register a domain name to cloak your affiliate link. I will explain why later.

The next step is to start writing articles. You must be ready to write articles! If writing articles can guarantee you $4,000 monthly within a month or two, would it not be worth the effort? Or let me put it this way, how much are you earning now? Do remember that the money is going to be residual so you can be earning some good cash for quite a long time.

First step in article marketing is writing an article that is related to the product you are marketing. So let's say you are selling a product on haemorrhoids, your articles should be on haemorrhoids.

Whatever article you write, make sure you have an attention grabbing header. For instance, my header, did you feel like clicking it? A headline can dictate whether your article is read by 10 people or by a 1000. Which do you prefer? So work on your headlines.

You can scout article directories for headlines in your area of interest and tweak the headlines to suit your taste. Far better still, read books on how to write headlines.

The next step is the article itself. Make sure it is informative and beneficial to the reader. A poorly written article is a turn off and what is worse than a poorly written article is a senseless one. Trust me on this, I have seen loads of them. Check and recheck for grammatical errors as it devalues you the author and may be rejected by some article directories where you plan to submit them.

Last but not the least, your signature, ensure it is persuasive enough to achieve a high clickthru rate to your review site of the haemorrhoid product or your affiliate link which you have cloaked with the domain name I asked you to purchase. Most article directories do not permit you to post affiliate links directly unless it is cloaked.

You can use a blog if you are skilled enough to achieve a high conversion rate.

Once you have completed the above, your article is ready to be submitted to article directories and social media sites.

You need to submit to as many article directories as possible but do not exclude these three: ezinearticles, articlesbase and goarticles. You can use an article submitter to make the job easier but many prefer to submit manually.

Then submit to social media sites such as twitter, facebook, stumbleupon, scribd, delicious.com, googlebuzz etc.

The more sites you submit your articles, the more traffic you will attract.

Next, set up a blog where you submit these articles. Ping each article using pingomatic or any pinging service.

Also visit blogs related to your articles and leave comments with your link attached.

Also, answer as many questions on yahoo answers related to your blog subject as possible and leave your link there.

Before long, your articles will not only become indexed by the search engines, you will be getting loads of traffic from several sources.

How many articles do you need to achieve success? Many say that 30 articles should be the minimum but I say a 100. With a 100 articles, if well written, you can easily be earning $4,000 or more monthly. Even with 30 articles, $1,000 or more is possible.

If you write an article a day, that is 30 in a month. If you write 2 articles a day, that's 60 in a month and 3 a day, that's 90 a month. You do not have to write all the articles in a day. Within a month or two, you will be earning very, very good residual income for months or even years to come.

I advise you stick to one topic. The reason is simple. I you write 10 articles on a single topic, you have only 10 links to that specific website in an article directory. Were you to write 100 articles, that would be a 100 links. The more links you have, the higher your search engine ranking. The higher your search engine ranking, the more traffic you will attract.

Last of not the least, be patient. An internet marketer after writing over 100 articles did not see a dime until the fourth week. On the Thursday in the fourth week, he earned $60. Within the next 30days, he earned a cumulative $3,117! All this were from the articles he wrote.

And he achieved without using an article submitter or mass submitting to social bookmarking sites.

At times, it takes time for your articles to attract the traffic you need- to be picked up by the search engines or to attract website owners that will publish these articles on their sites.
